Hanover, New Hampshire

I have so much to fill you in on, but I wanted to highlight the weeks greatest news. Michael was accepted to the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He would feel so honored to accept this invitation, but we're going to give it two months and see what comes of the 4 other applications that he's submitted. We couldn't be more excited. (I just wish the average weather during the winter in New Hampshire were about 50 degrees warmer! That's not asking too much is it?) Hanover is quite remote, but we've heard wonderful things about the people and the campus. We could certainly make this our home for two years and really enjoy the experience.

Hooray for Michael!

Congratulations!! I know I've told you before, but our friends who are graduating from Tuck this year LOVE it and he has a great job lined up. In some ways, I think their experience was better than ours at HBS. Their social circle was very tight-knit since the class is so small and there's much more room for involvement in extra-curricular stuff and leadership. They also made a much more diverse set of friends, rather than just sticking in the Mormon bubble. Plus, the housing is way nicer than the HBS housing. Let us know what you decide.

yippee for you guys! Congratulations! I'm bummed we couldn't get our schedules together a couple weeks ago, thanks for being so willing to figure something out. Next time? Congrats on your long run too- wow! Oh and how did flying with the two kids go? I think I'm gonna do the overseas one solo with the 2 kiddos in a couple of weeks. Am I crazy? Wish me luck.

Wow! That's awesome! My brother Preston is at Dartmouth getting his PhD in EE and they LOVE it in Hanover!!! I mean, they would totally stay there forever if they could! They have two little boys too! Maybe you'd be in their ward! Would you want their contact info in case you want to talk to someone who's there? Congrats to Michael! That is a TOUGH school to get into!!!
